Ok doc.
The Cleaners is a documentary that I actually wanted to see in the cinema, but could not find. Later when it came on NPO 2 I still watched it. I thought I would see more confronting images and learn new things, but actually you already know most of what they tell here.
It does show that the work of a 'content moderator' is quite dark and grim. Judging 25,000 photos at least per day seems awful to me, and then what they get to see is even more awful. Some photos are not shunned in the controversy either, and only a few too explicit images are blurred.
Nevertheless, a dark and grim documentary that should definitely be taken seriously.

I also looked at this and found it interesting. I actually thought everything was scanned by the computer and not by people. This is a hell of a job.
The documentary is not too long and kept me captivated from beginning to end.

Interesting, if rather gloomy documentary about the measures that companies like Google take to keep illegal and potentially dangerous content off their sites. For example, tens of thousands of Filipino content moderators are busy every day to determine what can be seen on the web. A development that will eventually lead irrevocably to a less democratic internet. The documentary sometimes lacks focus, but certain interviews with those involved leave a lasting impression and the theme is endlessly fascinating.
