Il Matrimonio plot

2006. In the heart of Calabria, Paola Salerno films the preparations for her youngest brother Checco's engagement party from a hill overlooking the sea. In the house where he was born, he spends his last days as a bachelor among a horde of women consisting of his four sisters, his mother and his future wife. With love and joy, the filmmaker follows and films her brother until shortly before the ceremony. Checco dies unexpectedly in 2016 and the images of Bianca, the filmmaker's daughter, bring back a haunting memory of those days of about ten years ago.
