I Shot My Love plot
Seventy years after his grandfather fled Nazi Germany, director Tomer Heymann returns to the land of his ancestors to present a film at the International Film Festival Berlin. There he meets Andreas Merk, a German dancer, with whom he has a brief 48-hour affair, but quickly develops into a special bond. When Andreas decides to move to Tel Aviv, he must not only get used to a new partner, but above all learn to deal with the complex realities of life in Israel and his personal relationship with it as a German citizen. With a special mosaic narration in a melancholy, uncompromising style, a personal and at the same time universal love story unfolds about the love triangle between Tomer, his German friend and his intense Israeli mother.
