I'm Carolyn Parker plot

Carolyn Parker is the proud resident of the Lower Ninth Ward, a New Orleans neighborhood. Despite limited financial resources and a handicap, she is a positive person who does not just accept setbacks. After Hurricane Katrina, she is one of the first to return and tries to restore her home in the neighborhood to its former glory. She gets help from her daughter Kyrah Julian and son Rahsaan. Director Jonathan Demme followed the family for five years.
