I Don't Feel at Home Anywhere Anymore plot

Thirty-year-old Viv Li is studying art in Belgium and has lived outside her native China for ten years. During the Christmas holidays, she visits her family in Beijing for nine days, where it soon becomes clear how uprooted she is from her homeland due to her life abroad. Her grandmother thinks she isn't fat enough, her uncle wants to know what kind of work she actually does, and an encounter with an ex-boyfriend brings sadness.
