I Am a Woman Now plot
In 1956, gynecologist Georges Burou opened a practice in Casablanca where anyone who wanted to could have sex reassignment without complicated psychological examinations and questions. The men who then traveled to Morocco to undergo a gender reassignment are now women between the ages of 70 and 80. They were pioneers in the field of gender reassignment from male to female. In I Am A Woman Now the women take stock of their lives. What was their life like after they left Casablanca? Have their dreams come true and have they achieved the hard-won desired quality of life?
