I, Afrikaner plot

Annalet 'Makkie' Steenkamp comes from a family of white African farmers. For nearly nine years, she captured moments from the everyday lives of her family members with the aim of understanding their unbreakable bond with South African soil. The Steenkamp family experiences first-hand how much that bond is being tested and how complex it is to set up a new social and political structure. Apartheid may be over, but racism has left a deep mark on South African society.
