Hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions, of protesters have taken to the streets in Hong Kong as of early June 2019. Initially protesting against the government's controversial plans for an eviction law, the movement has now also demanded greater freedom and democracy, with anger over police brutality sparking a cycle of violence. Since the handover to China in 1997, Beijing has never been challenged as fiercely as with these protests in Hong Kong. This documentary looks at the movement through the eyes of a number of Hong Kongers, whose fate, like that of the city, is now uncertain.
