Hoe Luidt het Land plot

What does the Netherlands actually sound like? Do we still take the time to listen carefully to the sounds around us? Or is there so much noise that we prefer to shut ourselves off? What does all that noise do to us? Is it really quiet somewhere in the Netherlands? And how does that sound when it's quiet? With these questions in mind, filmmaker Stella van Voorst van Beest leads us through the Netherlands. She lets us experience special and everyday sounds, shows how sound is visible in the Dutch landscape and seeks and finds silence in sometimes unexpected places.
