Histoire de Mes Cheveux plot
Boris Lehman hadn't cut his hair for over two decades. Things turned gray and dried out, it was time to do something about it. Having the misfortune of being a filmmaker, as he puts it, Lehman decided to make a film about it. It became a personal documentary in which Lehman connects the growth of his hair with the time and space in which he has been here on earth. Because hair, he discovers, holds microscopic particles from everything that passes. He travels through Europe, Ukraine and Russia through his own history and that of his parents, but abruptly changes course when he can't find anything, when his past turns out to be partly swept away. The story of Samson and Delilah and other literary fragments accompany Lehman on his journey and reflect on the fragility and brevity of life.
