Herinnering aan een Trieste Dageraad plot

On June 8, 1998, 20-year-old Ricco leaves his parental home in North Holland for a ride on his motorcycle. He's not coming back. In a bend of a narrow country road, his engine crashes and he slides under an oncoming car. He dies instantly. In Memory of a Sad Dawn, Ramón Gieling explores the mystery of death through intimate testimonies from relatives and friends of the deceased. From different perspectives - the father, the mother, the sister, the friend, the man who last saw him - he sketches a sensory portrait of the deceased son. The documentary explores the unfathomable depths of grief and measures the strength of a family trying to accept the unacceptable.
