Heavy Water: A Film for Chernobyl plot

On April 26, 1986, the fourth nuclear reactor of the nuclear power plant near Chernobyl explodes, sending a huge radioactive cloud over northern Ukraine and Belarus. This disaster is kept silent by the Soviet authorities, as a result of which the surrounding population of Chernobyl unsuspectingly continues everyday life. Within three days, an area the size of England is contaminated with radioactive particles, with all the consequences that entails. This documentary tells the story of different people who had to deal with the disaster and its consequences in their own way: firefighters, soldiers and their families have their say.
