Heartworn Highways Revisited plot
"Every generation has its outlaws."
In the 1970s James Szalapski came up with the idea to delve into the roots of the 'outlaw country'. This led to 'Heartworn Highways', a documentary that visited various artists who were making music in their own way in the Nashville area at the time. But this generation also has its outlaws and Wayne Price decided to go on a similar quest. He met John McCauley, Jonny Fritz, Josh Hedley, Justin Townes Earle, Shovels & Rope, Langhorne Slim, Robert Ellis, Shelly Colvin and Phil Hummer, among others. In addition, old acquaintances Steve Young, David Allan Coe and Guy Clark are also back after their appearance in the official documentary.
