Häidenvietto Karjalan Runomailla plot

The film depicts a traditional wedding such as this one according to the old traditions from the Kalevala (the mythical book in which the creation story of the Finns is described) took place in Karelia, around the beginning of the 20th century. The different phases of a wedding are discussed, such as courting the woman, the actual wedding and how one should continue to live with each other afterwards.
