Gwendolyn plot

Gwendolyn intrigues Leick from the moment she enters the picture. Because what's wrong with her face, which is rigid and seems to be crooked? And what is a retired anthropologist in his sixties, who weighs barely more than fifty kilos, to do with heavy weights in a working-class East London gym? Gwen looks frail, but she's not. In carefully constructed scenes, the viewer learns more and more about this resilient Austrian, who has lived in London for more than forty years.
