Melina, the director's 8-year-old niece, has been living with her grandparents since her parents' divorce. She wants to move in with her mother, but the latter has remarried and has to take her other family into account. Arandi used dashcams to film the confrontational conversations between Melina and her mother. She also uses footage of Melina at her home. Melina behaves like a typical girl who is a little too wise for her age, and her spontaneous behavior lends this a unique degree of authenticity. However, there is an unpleasant sense of voyeurism hanging over it.
