"The story of The Stooges."
Hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, in the midst of a cultural revolution, The Stooges blew a crater in the musical landscape of the 1960s with their powerful and aggressive style of rock and roll. The audience was treated to a mix of rock, blues, R&B and jazz and the band stood at the foot of what was later called punk and alternative rock. The documentary tells the story of The Stooges, one of the foremost protopunk bands of all time. Their musical rise, culture, politics and history are revealed as well as the inspirations behind their commercial challenges.
