Get Thrashed plot
At the beginning of the eighties, bands like Metallica laid the foundation for a new step in the development of rock music: thrash metal. They provided the spark that ignited the local music scenes of Los Angeles, the Bay Area of California and New York. By the time the next decade began, these bands' concerts had grown from backyard concerts to shows in the biggest venues around the world. But the changing musical landscape (eg grunge and nu metal) reduced the scene to smaller proportions, while a few like Metallica continued to grow.
