Genèse d'un Repas plot

In 'Genèse d'un Repas' the principle of comparative economics is graphically explained. What is the value of a can of Senegalese tuna, a French omelet or a bunch of Ecuadorian bananas? Filmmaker Moullet shows in his work an astute eye for the absurdity of the world. In an apparently light-hearted tone, he outlines the unfathomable economic structures that allow large stocks of food to be fed to animals in a world where a billion people are malnourished. Underneath, however, lies the bitter tale of famine and death.
