Free Leonard Peltier plot

For nearly fifty years, Native American civil rights activist Leonard Peltier has been imprisoned for the murder of two FBI agents. A section of the film focuses on Peltier's involvement in the American Indian Movement and the abuses he and his fellow activists opposed. For example, many Native Americans were forced by the US government to attend boarding schools as children, where they were "re-educated." Their experiences paint a picture of racism and land dispossession.
