A personal documentary by Echternkamp about his mother Cynthia and his stepfather Frank Garcia. In 1983 Frank became famous overnight with his band OXO and their huge hit 'Whirly Girl' . He was a star and the blond, sexy Cindy married him right away. But Frank turned out to be a one-hit wonder and Cindy's dreams of big money and glamor disappeared like snow in the sun. Instead, she got a bankrupt alcoholic. Cynthia more or less locked Frank up in the basement and forced him to write a new hit. Frank is still there...
