Foreign Parts plot

A hidden enclave in the shadow of the new stadium of the Mets (a professional baseball team from Queens, New York) is an industrial zone destined for demolition. With its scrap heaps and car sheds and lack of sidewalks and sewers, this area seems ripe for tourist development. However, the directors discover a strange community where wreckage, waste and recycling make up a thriving business. Cars are stripped, sorted and cataloged by make and part, then resold to an endless parade of customers.
