Finding Babel plot
The subversive works of Soviet writer Isaac Babel challenged the realities of life under the emerging totalitarian regime and led to his arrest in 1940. 75 years after his execution, Andrei Malaev-Babel travels to Russia, Ukraine and France to get closer to his grandfather he never met. Animations, spontaneous encounters and a rare look at the KGB archives revive a lost literary hero in the 21st century.
