Feuer Bewahren, Nicht Asche Anbeten plot

Martin Schläpfer is ballet director and chief choreographer at the German Opera on the Rhine in Düsseldorf and Duisburg. Filmmaker Annette von Wangenheim was allowed to follow him personally and look over his shoulder during his work. For her documentary, Wangenheim spoke to collaborators and colleagues of Schläpfer, an artist who produces an energetic and highly creative revolutionary ballet and whose works are not exclusively aimed at insiders.
