Fei Chang Yi Han plot
So Sorry, named after the 2009 Munich exhibition, shows how the tense relationship between artist Ai Weiwei and the Chinese government began. The film is a sequel to Disturbing the Peace, in which Ai Weiwei travels to Chengdu to testify in the trial of civil rights activist Tan Zuoren. Tan exposed the corrupt building practices that led to unsound and life-threatening structures. So Sorry shows Ai Weiwei's studio attempt to identify the students who died in the Sichuan earthquake as a result of these practices. This led to a confrontation between Ai Weiwei and the Chengdu police.
