Exquisite Corpse plot
The Los Angeles River is 51 miles long and in Exquisite Corpse it takes 51 minutes to follow the river from its start at the San Fernando Valley to its end at the Pacific Ocean. A colorful tribute to the inhabitants, animals and plants along the LA River. The area was once the land of the Tongva and later a water source for livestock farmers. Now the LA River is particularly known as popular movie shooting locations. The concrete tank with its iconic bridges has been reopened for recreation a few years ago. Kerry Tribe uses the detailed map of the river as script for “Exquisite Corpse”. She is guided by various characters along the water: one has been living there alone in a tent for years, while the other works for the fire brigade and rescues people from the river when the water is high.
