Exprmntl plot

Between 1949 and 1974, five editions of the experimental film festival EXPRMNTL were held in the Belgian coastal town of Knokke. The fashionable Knokke casino housed makers of innovative films for eight days. In the documentary about the history of this groundbreaking festival, the interviewees still argue about the terminology to use: was it experimental, underground or more avant-garde?
