Exile Family Movie plot

"To Mekka and back"

A family history; normal, crazy and extraordinary at the same time. A film about exile and homeland, about parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters and all other direct and distant relatives of a Persian family, which emigrated partly to Europe, partly to America, but for the most part remained in Iran. Despite all the dangers, after 20 years a secret reunion comes in an unsuspected place for the Iranian authorities: Mecca. People arrive from America, Sweden, Austria and Iran. There is laughter, arguing, cooking, partying, exchanging kisses and hugs, and yet it is also a clash between Islamic and Western society.
