Documentary about the life of the successful American playwright Terrence McNally. McNally has won numerous awards in his six-decade career, including four Tony Awards, but has also championed the rights of the LGBT community. He is now 79 years old, but is still working. In many of his plays, he has incorporated what it is like to be gay in the United States. A picture of McNally's life is sketched on the basis of historical images and many interviews with his friends and colleagues.
