Et Israël Fut plot

Echoing the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, this documentary looks at the history of Zionism through the prism of Western responsibility. The impressive archive footage shows how Eretz Israel, based on fragments of religious memory, was shaped by the dream of a nation-state, theorized at the end of the 19th century in a Europe where anti-Semitism was rife.
