Escaping Riga plot

Chronicle of the twentieth century based on the life histories of Eisenstein and Isaiah Berlin. Both were born in Riga at the beginning of the last century. Eisenstein became the most brilliant film director of his generation in the totalitarian Soviet Union, while Berlin became the most brilliant thinker of his generation in liberal Britain. Stories from the personal lives of the two men run through historical benchmarks such as the Russian Revolution, the Second World War and their first and only meeting in Moscow in September 1945.
