Erzähl es Niemandem! plot

Norwegian Lillian is 19, when she meets German soldier Helmut on Easter 1942 on the island of Hinnøy and falls in love. But given the atrocities of the Germans, she doubts whether she should allow this love. Then Helmut finally confesses his biggest secret: his mother is Jewish and his German soldier uniform serves as camouflage. The couple swear eternal love. The documentary follows Lillian fulfilling her promise to bury the ashes where she and Helmut first met.
