Epiphany plot
Early in her marriage, photographer Ellen Cuylaerts runs into the social expectations of her environment around her husband and children. She finds confirmation when they are diagnosed with autism. Fighting against the ignorance and prejudice of others, she makes steps towards acceptance, but she realizes deep down that society ultimately does not accept that some are "different". The family moves to Grand Cayman. Living near the ocean, Ellen decides to pick up her passion for wildlife photography again by photographing sharks. However, she is afraid of water.
