The Swedish singer and pop musician Freddie Wadling (1951) has left an important mark on Swedish pop music of the last twenty years of the last century. As a boy he came into contact with the music of Captain Beefheart, who played a major role in his own development until 2000. When his father once brought him a guitar, his musical interest was definitely aroused. Wadling's debut as a bassist in a local band was the start of an extraordinary career. In “En Släkting till Älvorna”, director Kirsi Nevanti tries to give a complete picture of Freddie Wadling, both from his music and his person.
