El Father Plays Himself plot
"A father and son return to the Amazon jungle to shoot a deeply personal film. Fiction and reality clash as father plays himself."
When Jorge Thielen Armand was going to make a film about the life of his father the freebooter, with the same father in the lead role, Mo Scarpelli accompanied the film crew to make a documentary about it. With a keen eye for detail and emotion, she filmed the shots, which were largely made under harsh conditions in the Venezuelan jungle. For the charismatic, alcohol-addicted father and directing son, the film is an opportunity to make up for lost time.
