He was an artist as enigmatic as his highly symbolic and richly detailed paintings. Bosch was recently celebrated worldwide in honor of the 500th anniversary of his death. Granted through exclusive access by the Prado Museum, this documentary seems to answer age-old questions about the painter and painting, while also attempting to explain the inspiration both have brought to artists, writers, philosophers and musicians over the years.
