Édouard Louis, ou la Transformation plot

Édouard Louis's real name is Eddy Bellegueule. Born and raised in a poverty-stricken village in Northern France, he studiously kept his homosexual orientation and otherness in a broader sense hidden. At school he was introduced to a more intellectual world, from which he hid something else: his family, his origins. Eddy decided to reinvent himself and he succeeded. In the documentary he speaks candidly about the difficult road from Eddy to Édouard, and about the success as a mediagenic writer that he achieved at the age of 22.
