Echoes of War plot

On four continents, a story is read to children in groups about the elephant Baba, who lives with his parents in the jungle. One day a turtle with a shattered shell shuffles past. The effect of reading aloud does not miss its purpose. The children listen to the story, outwardly unmoved, until the moment when Baba and his mother are left behind by father elephant. Then the children can no longer be silent, their own, indescribable memories are released. The shots on the different continents alternate continuously, in an asynchronous interplay with the story about Baba, which comes to life in animation images.
