Eadweard Muybridge, Zoopraxographer plot

An innovative film about the origins of cinema and its most famous ancestor, Eadweard Muybridge. Over a period of ten years, filmmaker and professor Thom Andersen Muybridges studied human and animal movements and turned them into animations. Intertwined with this are segments that tell of Muybridge's personal and professional struggles, while also exploring the development of technologies from before the era of cinema. This reveals parallels between Muybridge's secluded lifestyle and genius and the explosive and highly public birth of cinema.
