Dry Branches of Iran plot
Poetic documentary with fictional traits. In a small cell in Tehran prison, a young dancer has difficulty remembering what preceded his arrest. In flashbacks we see that his work as a performer was censored by the government because of the excessively explicit body contours and too much physical contact with his male counterpart. He also took part in the anti-government protests and deserted from the army, only to return there with a lead. Confused and full of questions, the dancer tries to reconstruct the events. How did he end up on the floor of the small cell, bloodied? How is his family and do they know where he is?
