Doulaye, Une Saison des Pluies plot

Henri-François Imbert remembers his childhood. In the early 1970s, he lived with his parents in central France. He felt a special affection for a friend of his father's, named Doulaye. Henri-François got along well with the Algerian. In 1974, Doulaye decided to leave France and went to Algeria. He then decided to return to Mali in 1976. Since then Henri-François has heard nothing more from him. Henri-François decides to look for him. It is now June 1999, the rainy season has just started in Mali and Henri-François arrives at Bamako and begins his search.
