Dirty Energy plot

The enormous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010 has been widely discussed in the media. Now that most of the journalists are gone, director Bryan D. Hopkins points his camera at those left behind. They have to deal with the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon disaster and are concerned about their health and their environment. They read in the newspaper that oil has been found in the eggs of shrimp, they hear about dead-born dolphins washed ashore and see with their own eyes the population of some animals is declining.
