On 14 January 2013, Mariss Jansons, chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others, turned seventy. The film portrait by Eckhart Querner and Sabine Scharnagl takes as its point of departure Jansons' successful tour through Japan with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and tells of the most important moments in the life of the Latvian conductor.
