Det Afghanske Marerittet plot

Norwegian Colonel Solberg is trying to create a sustainable civil society in Afghanistan, in a region where the Taliban is still very powerful. It is not so much the military battle that is central, but cooperation with local authorities and the police. Is it possible to talk to the Taliban? Is it possible to find a peaceful solution, or will Afghanistan fall back into a destructive and bloody struggle if the West withdraws from the region?
