Desert: Who Is the Man? plot
For many, the desert is not only an inaccessible, inhospitable area, but also a refuge. A place full of mysticism, where man not only becomes aware of his own insignificance but also glimpses something greater than himself. Felix Tissi filmed in deserts around the world and followed some of the temporary residents, including scientists, artists, eccentrics and wandering souls. The film captures their quest through powerful, subjective imagery, accompanied by music and thoughts from the main characters in voiceover. The vast, almost unearthly desert landscape tells the rest.
