Der Schatz im Kivusee plot

Lake Kivu, between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, still looks peaceful. But in reality it is a ticking time bomb. A highly toxic mixture of methane and carbon dioxide has formed at the bottom of the lake over thousands of years. This methane supply is potentially worth billions, but it also poses a deadly danger. The concentration of the gas increases and with it the chance of an explosive eruption, which would suffocate hundreds of thousands of people in one fell swoop. However, the Rwandan government has a plan.
