De Wijde Wereld plot
As a child I had to say goodbye to friends, uncles and aunts, grandfathers and grandmothers. Having to leave everything you know behind, and then end up in a country where you don't understand the language and don't understand the customs. That happened to Mina and Melika, who were driven from their place as children with their parents. And the young Hamza who, along with his brothers, was put on a plane to another continent by his mother. In the Netherlands, they end up at Teade Walma's school, which is especially intended for these displaced and detached children.
