In the capital of enchanting Abkhazia, destroyed by civil war, is the oldest monkey laboratory in the world, albeit in a pitiful condition. On the eve of a possible new war, the lab workers try to ensure the survival of their lab. The documentary 'The Lost Colony' follows their seemingly impossible struggle to restore the lab and their land and discovers the endless trust and unwavering hope of those involved.
