De Tijd de Stroom plot

Chronicle of the post-war German history of the East German agricultural village of Groß Lüben, located on the River Elbe. For more than forty years this river symbolized the division between East and West. “De Tijd de Stroom” portrays a number of villagers who have experienced the turbulent times since the end of the Second World War. The arrival of the Russians, the expropriation, forced collectivization, in some cases a flight to the West and finally 'die Wende'; the new beginning.
