Iraq 2003. How did the Dutch participation come about? An investigation is announced by Wouter Bos, among others, before the 2006 elections. After the elections, this suddenly no longer appears to be necessary. Recently, the Davids Commission has been working to relieve permanent political pressure. For most Iraqis, the intervention has turned into a humanitarian disaster. Is there a lie? Are facts systematically withheld? Why does these four crucial phases of our history always seem to be in a "state of denial"? Director Hedda van Gennep speaks with a number of people in this film, in order to get answers to these questions.
